About Foothills Care, Inc.

Foothills Care, Inc. was incorporated in July, 2000, and began providing services in the fall of that year. The corporate office is located in Kingston, Tennessee.

Foothills Care has been developed to meet its mission, which is to provide state-of-the-art clinical services, program management, and training and consultation to promote the protection, care and treatment of adults, children and families.

Foothills is committed to a personalized approach in all of its programs in order to avoid the large corporation “cookie cutter” models so prevalent in today’s mental health industry. By providing a smaller, fulfilling environment to conduct its work Foothills can meet each individual client with 100% focus and personalized caring.

We see the provision of clinical services, program management, and training and consultation as unique opportunities to provide valuable and needed services, which draw upon the strengths and core competencies of our staff and the Foothills agency.

Foothills Care works within the “social services” and “behavioral health” industries.

The social services function primarily involves:

  1. Working in multiple capacities with the child protection, human service, juvenile justice, mental health/mental retardation, and social service State departments charged with dealing with the unruly, delinquent, dependent, neglected and abused children, adolescents, young adults and families; and

  2. Working collaboratively with the individual professionals and public and private agencies that provide multiple services and therapeutic programs for these needy populations.

The behavioral health function involves:

The design and delivery of mental health and/or substance abuse services for adults, children and families in need.  This is typically accomplished by assessing needs and accessing appropriate clinical services for the individuals based on identified needs, and then delivering these “medically necessary” services in a variety of funding environments.  Behavioral health services are typically paid for privately, or through Medicaid/Medicaid Waiver programs, private insurance, private funding and/or other specific behavioral health federal, state, local and private organizations.
