Therapeutic Program Management

Most traditional and long-standing child welfare and behavioral health organizations are faced with the difficult challenge of dealing with increasingly severe clients and more dysfunctional families. As a result these agencies are required to increase their clinical and therapeutic intensity, as well as retrain their staff and retool their operations to respond to the current needs. Foothills Care, in the role of management consultant, is available to share our experience and expertise in a short-term retooling and retraining role. We can develop policies, procedures and training systems to enable agencies to deal with more difficult children and families. Using the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services level of care terminology, we can assist Level I agencies to retool as a Level II program, Level II programs to become Level III compliant, and assist traditional residential or hospital-based programs in developing a “continuum” of home and community-based services to expand their range of service delivery and shift to a preferred community-based permanency model.

Foothills Care personnel are experts in the “Brian A.” Settlement Agreement and resulting compliance standards being instituted by DCS throughout the State of Tennessee.

Foothills is also available as a broad-based outsource or sub-contract partner for managing your agency’s complete clinical program including: clinical documentation and policy and procedure development (to meet licensing and contractual standards), clinical client assessment, admission protocols, treatment planning, delivery of direct client and family counseling and therapy services, utilization review, quality improvement, clinical supervision and staff growth and development functions.
